The Dutch Chinese Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman Hu Zhiguang Was Invited to Attend the 7th National Representative Assembly of the Returned Overseas Chinese and Family Members of Overseas Chines 2004/7/24
July 20th-24th , 2004, the Dutch Chinese Chamber of Commerce’s chairman Hu Zhiguang was invited to attend “the 7th National Representative Assembly of the Returned Overseas Chinese and Family Members of Overseas Chinese”. Four other overseas Chinese leaders, Ye Shishun, Bi Chuanyou, Hu Yunge and Huang Shiming were also present at the assembly.
July 20th, the assembly was held ceremoniously in the Great Hall of the People. Before the opening ceremony, the country’s leaders, Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Zeng Qinghong, Huang Ju, Wu Guangzheng, Li Changchun, Luo Gan and so on met and took pictures with all representatives and invited guests of the assembly. The other Party and country’s leaders also attended included Liu QI, Liu Yunshan, Wu Yi, Zhou Yongkang, He Guoqiang, Wang Gang, Xu Caihou, He Yong, He Luli, Sheng Huaren, Tang Jiaxuan, Hua Jianmin, Liu Yandong, Luo Haocai and so on.
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, Wang Zhaoguo delivered a speech in the assembly. The chairman of All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Lin Zhaoshu on behalf of the 6th Committee made a work report named as “unit together with full drive, fully boost the enthusiasm of the Returned Overseas Chinese and make contributions to build a society in which people enjoy a fairly comfortable life”. The assembly discussed the report, modified “the constitution of All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese” and elected the 7th committee.
This is the first national assembly held by All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in the new century, many directors of the related ministries and commissions of the central government and country organs, mass organizations and democratic parties attended the opening ceremony, about one thousand representatives from the whole country and more than 150 specially invited guests from abroad attended the assembly.
